Norman D. Mathis, 83 of Dothan, AL passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Norman is a native of Alabama born on October 6, 1938 to the late Lenson and Mattie Lou Mathis.
Norman served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Fay Mathis; Infant son Robert Mitchell, brothers, Infant Edward Mathis, Bill Mathis, and Ralph Mathis; sister, Ann Mathis Etheredge.
Norman is survived by two daughters, Debbie Ezell of Dothan, AL, and Kathy Crutchfield of Greenwood, FL, one son; Jeffery Mathis of Springfield, Illinois; sister, Cecilia Mulliford of Newton, Georgia, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Services for Norman will 10:00 AM, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Clark Family Cemetery with military honors provided. The family will receive friends form 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be John David McCullough, Phillip Golden, Carl Hott, William Culpepper, Lucas Oder, and Anthony Crutchfield.
