Leslie David Cascio age 66 of Graceville passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home. Dave was born June 1, 1954 in Austin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Marian Cascio, his eldest brother James Lee Cascio. Dave is survived by his wife Patricia Cascio of Graceville, FL, two daughters Jennifer Ownings and husband Phillip of Midland City, AL, Felicia Garcia and husband Ryan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, grandson Xander Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also leaves behind two brothers John Cascio and wife Brenda of Liberty Hill, TX, and Richard Cascio of Garland, TX.
Dave served in the Air Force as an Intelligence Officer for 15 years, then transferred to a civilian job with Defense Intelligence Agency. During his service with DIA he served at Grissom AFB, IL, Fort Ord, CA, Fort Hunter, Liggett, CA, Fort Benning, GA, and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. He also remained in the Air Force Reserves and was called up for Dessert Storm when he served at Ramstein AFB, Germany.
His dream was to own enough land that he could shoot in all directions. He found that here in Graceville, FL. Dave raised goats as a hobby but always wanted to raise cattle which he also accomplished.
A memorial service for Dave will be 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at New Teamon Baptist Church, 3813 S. County Road 85, Slocomb, AL 36375.
