Tony Sikes, who was born on May 10, 1963, passed away on November 14, 2012, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, after a life-long struggle with heart disease. He was 49 years old.
Tony was born in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Hal Dewayne Sikes and Rosetta Marie Collier Sikes. He graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1981 and went to work as a short order cook. At the age of 30, he quit work due to ongoing health problems and moved to Graceville, Florida. He married Cynthia Loar on February 5, 2006. Tony loved watching basketball, walking, and listening to Rock and Roll and Country music. He attended the Upper Room Church of God in Graceville.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Hal Dewayne Sikes.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Loar Sikes, of the home, mother Rosetta Marie Collier Sikes of Bloomington; two brothers, Mike, of the home, and Chris, of Bloomington; one sister, Melody Hardy, of Indianapolis; and one step-son, Craig Loar of Bay St. Louis, MS.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Williams Funeral Home of Graceville, Graceville, Florida.
